• Keep utes well-maintained (brakes, tyres, lights, steering)

• Fit roll-over protection (ROPS) for off-road use

• Use appropriate tyres for terrain

Administrative Controls

• Allow only trained and authorised drivers to operate utes

• Perform daily/weekly vehicle checks

• Set and enforce on-farm speed limits

• Prohibit passengers in trays or on sides

• Maintain a vehicle logbook for usage and defect reporting

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Require seatbelt use at all times

• Operators to wear enclosed footwear
